Privacy Policy

What we collect
Account details (name, email, business info via our sign-in provider Clerk), the content you put into CAIN (menus, leads, proposals, inbound inquiry emails you forward), payment and subscription records (via Stripe — we never see card numbers), and basic usage logs needed to run and secure the service.
Client information
When your clients submit an inquiry or view a proposal, we process their details (name, email, event info) on your behalf so you can quote and book them. We don't market to your clients and we don't sell anyone's data.
AI processing
Inquiry text and pasted menus are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to extract structured details. Content is sent for processing only — not for training. Prices on proposals are computed from your menu data, never invented by the model.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of processors to run CAIN: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and Anthropic (AI). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Retention & your rights
We keep your data while your account is active. Close your account and we'll delete or anonymize it within 30 days, except records we must keep (like billing history). You can request a copy or deletion of your data anytime at at@usecain.com.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, isolated per workspace at the application layer, and access is limited to what operating the service requires. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach affecting you occurs, we'll notify you promptly.
